Join Pack 1776 for an unforgettable Labor Day weekend aboard the historic USS Yorktown! We'll spend Saturday exploring and sleeping aboard the aircraft carrier, visit Fort Sumter on Sunday, stay overnight at a local hotel, and head home on Labor Day Monday.
Saturday, September 5
Arrive at the USS Yorktown between 4:00–6:00 PM
Mandatory safety briefing and fire drill
Guided tours and museum exploration
STEM and naval activities
Evening movie and activities
Sleep aboard the historic aircraft carrier

Parents and family members following family camping expectations
Minimum Age: Participants must be at least 7 years old to participate in the overnight program.
Adult Supervision Requirements
Ages 7–10: One adult chaperone per child
Ages 11–17: One adult for every 10 youth
Male and female sleeping areas are separate, with appropriate adult chaperones assigned to each youth compartment.
May 31: $100/person deposit (completed)
July 29: $85/person headcount payment due
Expected August 21: Remaining balance due (final amount TBD)
Cost Note: Earlier planning estimated approximately $150 per person for the Yorktown overnight experience, museum admission, and event coordination. This does not include the Sunday night hotel or optional Sunday dinner. Final pricing and payment instructions will be shared once hotel costs are finalized.
Arrival: Saturday between 4:00–6:00 PM
Everyone staying aboard must attend the mandatory safety video and fire drill.
Lights Out: 11:00 PM
Checkout: 9:00 AM Sunday
Parking permits are valid until 1:00 PM.
Sleeping accommodations are authentic Navy berthing compartments with climate-controlled sleeping areas, restrooms, and showers. Each bunk includes a twin mattress only.
Everyone must carry their own luggage down the 600-foot pier, so pack light.

Please note: Food is not allowed in the sleeping quarters.

For everyone's safety and to help preserve this historic ship:
Youth must remain supervised at all times.
No running or horseplay.
No weapons, alcohol, smoking, or vaping.
Do not enter restricted areas.
Medications should be carried and stored by adults.
